Using virtually any DC coupled audio interface with inputs (I’m using the Roland Scooper in the example because it has a ton of inputs and very few outputs) we can inject CV modulation into any BEAP or VIZZIE patch, using the BEAP Input tool. Of course, what we’d most like to use with a Eurorack modular system… is CV. Thanks to the virtually limitless functionality in Max, we can use anything from a MIDI keyboard to Twitter hashtags to generate modulation in our system. Once I began building in Max, I became obsessed. Im particularly excited to see Strettas BEAP included in the installation. Multi effect and Master effect etc are integrated and can be processed in real time without stopping performance. if the computer doesn't give a diagnostic beep, the hdd doesn't sound like it's reading, the fans kick in high gear automatically and the RAM is properly seated, then you probably have a bad motherboard or CPU.Development has stopped in 2008 but this is still cool.

But it’s been on a journey over more recent years to make that environment ever more accessible to a wider audience of people. I’ve always been fascinated with generative and reactive visuals for accompaniment of live music performance. Max has for years been a favored choice of musicians and artists wanting to make their own tools for their work.
